Amanda Johnston Silverstein founded AJC Grants in 2010. Amanda and her team have raised over $20 million for more than 100 nonprofit organizations world wide. She has been invited to speak on fund raising and nonprofit management at Georgetown University, University of Denver, the Hispanic Access Foundation, and the Colorado Department of Education.
Previous to starting her own business, Amanda was the Director of Grants Management for Mary's Center for Maternal & Childcare, an FQHC in Washington, D.C. where she led teams of writers to raise $7 million annually and managed a complex portfolio of 150 grants and government contracts. She is a published author, recognized for creativity, in-depth research and the talent to write in a clear, consistent voice to engage audiences.
Amanda holds an MA in International Policy Studies with focus on Gender and Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, and a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Texas State University. Amanda has traveled or lived in more than 30 countries and currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
